Nestled on the shores of the Pacific Northwest, Salish Seaside RV Resort and Marina is located across the shore from Victoria’s Inner Harbour. Proudly owned and operated in partnership by the Songhees and Esquimalt First Nations, the operation is committed to implementing sustainable land management practices ensuring that the delicate ecosystems surrounding the resort are protected and preserved for future generations.
In efforts to minimize their environmental impacts, they use eco-friendly cleaning products throughout the resort and have strict policies regarding waste management and outdoor cleaning practices. In the general store they have partnered with local and indigenous artisans to sell handcrafted goods, including Victoria’s own Nezza Naturals, supplying a zero-waste refill station of their natural home, bath, and body care products. The resort actively promotes recycling and composting to guests and residents, providing clearly marked bins and educational materials to encourage responsible waste disposal.
Their relationship with the First Nations community goes beyond a business relationship; it is a shared commitment to cultural respect, economic empowerment, and environmental stewardship. By integrating Indigenous perspectives into its operations, the resort not only provides an unparalleled guest experience but also sets a standard for responsible and inclusive tourism that benefits both the community and the environment.
