Pursuit Physiotherapy, based in Victoria and founded by Dana Tostenson, offers holistic physiotherapy, massage therapy, and chiropractic care. The name Pursuit reflects the ongoing journey of recovery and health, emphasizing continuous improvement and adaptation.
Dana compares climate change to treating an injury – only through reflection and proactive changes, we can forge a path to healing. At Pursuit, they stand by the motto “what gets measured gets managed.” Just as they track patient outcomes, they monitor and reduce their energy consumption and waste production.
In their first year, they’ve completed a waste audit and were certified as a Green and Ocean Friendly Business. Their efforts include recycling all soft and hard plastics (including IMS needles and medical gloves!), composting food waste, using reusable glasses, kitchenware, towels, and eco-friendly cleaning supplies, and operating from a LEED gold-certified building.
As their clinic matures, Pursuit continues to find ways to integrate sustainability into their culture and service to the community. Their commitment to ongoing improvements mirrors their approach to rehabilitation—small steps that lead to significant change.
