BC Green Business is run by the Synergy Foundation, a registered non-profit society with a mission to share ideas, spark innovation, and activate change to steer our economy and communities toward a more regenerative future. Synergy’s core programs also include Project Zero, FED Urban Agriculture, and the Ecostar Awards.
Foundation Canada
Surfrider Foundation Canada is dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of the world’s oceans, waves, and beaches for all people through a powerful activist network. They act as a line of defence on the BC coast, focusing on plastic pollution, clean water, coastal preservation, ocean protection, and beach access. We’ve partnered with Surfrider to implement ocean friendly action points across all our sectors. Businesses that achieve all Surfrider points on their sector checklist have the option to be recognized as an Ocean Friendly Business.
Vancity is a values-based financial cooperative serving the needs of its more than 525,000 member-owners and their communities in the Coast Salish and Kwakwaka’wakw territories. Vancity has been a leader in environmental sustainability through their internal operations and through the investments they make in the communities they serve. With Vancity’s support as BC Green Business’ Strategic Partner, the program has grown from a small operation into a provincewide leader in environmental resiliency.
